Project

Electrification of the Str. 3000 Ahr route, lot 2 Walporzheim - Ahrbrück

It runs from Remagen on the Rhine to Ahrbrück. For the electrification of the line, the overhead line was divided into two lots and commissioned accordingly.
In the night 14 to 15.07.2021, the Ahr valley was hit by a massive flood.
This event destroyed large parts of the rail infrastructure. Among other things, the complete railroad body between Walporzheim and Ahrbrück (main damage) is almost completely destroyed or damaged. The damage includes the track superstructure consisting of rails, sleepers and ballast as well as a considerable amount of the associated substructure, bridge structures, embankments, retaining walls and adjacent or associated infrastructure elements.
DB AG is working at full speed on the reconstruction of the Ahr line, Line 3000.
The declared goal is to resume operations by the end of 2025.
In the course of the reconstruction of the Ahr line, it is to be electrified.
Our scope of services includes the preparation of the design planning, the execution planning and the ready-to-operate erection of the overhead line system.
