EUROPTEN receives two major orders from Deutsche Bahn in the Eifel region, with a total volume of around 80 million euros

EUROPTEN is responsible for the implementation of two electrification projects in the Eifel region between Euskirchen and Trier. The project is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2026.

Vienna (OTS) - The Eifel line was restored after the flood disaster in 2021 and is now being equipped with overhead lines. In October 2023, EUROPTEN was awarded two contracts for the electrification along the Eifel line, one in the DB Region West and one in the DB Region Central, with a total contract volume of over 80 million euros.
Planning work has already begun and the sections of the Eifel line are scheduled to go into operation electrically by December 2026.

EUROPTEN was awarded the contract for the electrification of the restored line in the Ahr Valley at the beginning of 2023, with a project volume of around 11 million euros. Planning is underway, initial preparatory work began in October 2023 and completion of the overhead line system is scheduled for May 2025. With a further project on the Voreifelbahn, EUROPTEN is taking on a total of four projects for Deutsche Bahn AG in this region with a total volume of over EUR 100 million.
