Bf. Gramatneusiedl
In the summer of 2022, Europten was commissioned by ÖBB to renew and extend the overhead line system at Gramatneusiedl station. In the course of the project, existing catenary systems and lines are to be transferred to newly erected masts and existing systems are to be removed and new overhead line systems are to be erected. Work on the overhead contact line system started in September 2022 with pre-assembly work on track 1. After commissioning of the air separators and transfer of the existing catenary systems to the newly erected masts, removal of the existing system could begin. Subsequently, 17 km of type 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 catenary and 25 km of lines are to be relaid. Completion of the overhead contact line system at Gramatneusiedl station is scheduled for December 2024.
