Lindau Rail Hub

Lindau is the southwesternmost city of Bavaria and is located in the tri-border region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. One part of the city is located on the mainland while the historic centre is located on an island in Lake Constance. The Lindau rail hub will be extensively expanded and modernised in the next few years. EUROPTEN will install the overhead line system and carry out electrification works.
A new railway station for long-distance and regional transport will be built in Lindau-Reutin. This new railway station will connect the district of Reutin directly with the railway network. The island railway station will remain in service and will still be used for regional transport. The overhead line system between Lindau-Reutin and the island railway station will be modernised. The track section between Lindau-Aeschach and the island railway station of Lindau will be electrified.
